Terms of Use

Effective date: August 28, 2026
Last updated: August 28, 2026

Vow is operated by Tryvow LLC, a California limited liability company ("Tryvow LLC", "we", "us", "our"). These terms are an agreement between you and Tryvow LLC, covering your use of tryvow.co and everything on it.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Vow.

1. Who can use Vow

You must be at least 18 years old. By creating an account you confirm that you are.

Vow is currently available only for weddings taking place in the United States.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account, your password, and everything that happens under your login. Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. Tell us at hello@tryvow.co if you think someone else has access to your account.

One account per person. Do not share your login.

3. What Vow is, and what it is not

Vow is a planning tool. It helps you organize a wedding: budgets, vendors, checklists, guests, seating, and timing.

Vow is not legal, financial, tax, or contractual advice. Nothing in the app is a professional opinion. Before you sign anything, spend anything significant, or rely on a date or a number, check it with your vendor, your planner, or a qualified professional.

Vow does not book anything for you. We do not contract with vendors, hold dates, take deposits, or act as your agent. Every agreement you make is between you and that vendor.

Vow works alongside a planner, not instead of one. If you have a planner, they remain the authority on your wedding.

4. Estimates, benchmarks, and AI features

This section matters, please read it.

Much of what Vow shows you is computed or generated rather than looked up. Specifically:

Budget benchmarks and estimates. Cost figures Vow suggests are estimates based on typical costs for a wedding of your size, budget, and region. They are starting points to replace with real quotes. They are not quotes, they are not offers, and actual prices will differ.

Regional pricing. Vow adjusts for high cost markets it recognizes. If it does not recognize your location, it uses national averages and will tell you so.

Weather and daylight. Sunset times are calculated from your location and date. Weather information is based on twenty year historical averages for your location, not a forecast. Do not plan an outdoor ceremony around it without checking an actual forecast closer to the day.

Text Vow and other AI features. Vow uses AI to answer questions, review contracts you upload, and generate suggestions. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Contract review in particular is a reading aid, not a legal review. Verify anything you plan to act on.

You are responsible for decisions you make using Vow.

5. Free and paid plans

Vow currently offers a free tier. Some features are limited, including the number of AI messages available.

We may change what is included in the free tier. If we remove something you are actively using, we will tell you first.

Vow+ costs a single payment, not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms.

What Vow+ gives you

Vow+ is a license to use the paid features of Vow, not ownership of software. The license covers one wedding, planned by one couple, for personal use.

Everyone you invite to your wedding in Vow, including a partner and a planner, works under your single license. You do not need to buy Vow+ more than once for one wedding.

Vow+ is not licensed for professional use. If you plan weddings for other people as a business, you may not use one Vow+ license across multiple clients' weddings.

How long it lasts

Your Vow+ access continues for as long as Tryvow LLC operates Vow. It is not limited to a period of time and there is nothing to renew.

If we discontinue Vow, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your information before access ends, and we will refund your Vow+ payment.

Refunds

Vow+ sales are final. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, for features you did not use, or because your wedding plans changed.

Two exceptions. If we discontinue Vow or end Vow+ on our own initiative, we will refund your payment. If we end your access at our discretion for a reason not listed under "When we can end it" below, we will refund your payment.

When we can end it

This license is revocable. We may suspend or end your Vow+ access, without a refund, if you:

We may also end access at our discretion in circumstances not listed above. If we do, we will tell you why, and we will refund your payment.

Sharing your wedding with your partner or your planner inside Vow is not a transfer and is expressly permitted.

If your payment is reversed

If your Vow+ payment is refunded or reversed for any reason, including a chargeback, the license it paid for ends. This is not a penalty for disputing a charge. It is what happens when a purchase is undone.

When Vow+ access ends this way, we will email you. You have 30 days from that email to export anything you want to keep, after which your account and its contents are deleted. If you reply before then, we will hold off on deleting anything while it is sorted out. Copies may briefly remain in our database provider's routine backups after deletion.

Your acknowledgment at checkout

Before you pay, you will be asked to confirm that you understand you are paying for a license to access Vow+, not buying it outright, that access continues for as long as the service runs, and that it can be revoked if you violate these license terms.

6. Your content

Anything you put into Vow stays yours: your wedding details, notes, guest list, uploads, and everything else.

You give us permission to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of operating Vow for you, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload images you do not have rights to, or contracts you are not permitted to share.

7. Information about other people

When you add guests and vendors to Vow, you are entering personal information about people who have not agreed to these terms.

You confirm that you have the right to share that information, and you agree to use it only for planning your own wedding. Do not add information a person would object to you sharing. If someone asks you to remove their information, remove it.

8. Acceptable use

Do not:

We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

9. Third party services

Vow relies on outside services including Supabase, Railway, Anthropic, Voyage AI, OpenAI, Resend, Google Maps Platform, Open-Meteo, and Stripe. Their availability is not within our control, and outages or errors on their side can affect Vow.

Vendors, venues, and other businesses you find or track through Vow are not affiliated with us. We do not vet them, recommend them, or take responsibility for your dealings with them.

10. Availability and changes

Vow is a new product under active development. Features change, occasionally break, and are sometimes removed. We do not promise uninterrupted or error free service.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Vow at any time. If we shut down the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data. Vow+ access is subject to section 5.

11. Disclaimers

Vow is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non infringement.

We do not warrant that Vow will be accurate, complete, reliable, secure, or available at any given time, or that any estimate, benchmark, date, or AI generated answer is correct.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vow and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, lost bookings, or costs of substitute services, arising from your use of Vow.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Vow will not exceed the greater of one hundred US dollars or the amount you paid us.

This limit applies even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to cover our losses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of Vow, your violation of these terms, your violation of any law, or your handling of other people's personal information through Vow.

14. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from account settings. Deletion removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We can suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue Vow. Where circumstances allow, we will give you notice and a chance to export your data. If we discontinue Vow, section 5 also applies to Vow+.

Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, and 15 survive termination.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws rules.

Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we each consent to that jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, email hello@tryvow.co and give us 30 days to resolve it. Most things can be sorted out that way.

16. Everything else

Whole agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about Vow.

Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

No waiver. If we do not enforce something right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You cannot transfer your account or these terms to someone else. We may transfer them if Vow is sold or reorganized.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will update the date at the top and notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Vow after that means you accept the new terms.
