About Vow

Vow is where the whole wedding lives. Guests, vendors, contracts, budget, seating, the timeline, the things due next week. It holds all of it, and then it checks the parts against each other so you do not have to.

Why it exists

Most wedding tools record what you tell them. You type a number into a budget tracker and it holds that number. You add a vendor and it sits in a list. Your guest list is in one place, your contracts in another, and nothing in any of them knows whether the wedding you are building still works.

That is where weddings go wrong. Your guest list grows by fifteen and nobody recalculates catering. You book a photographer at the top of your range and the flowers get quietly squeezed. You rent three rooms and only one of them gets decorated, and you find out in August.

Vow is built to notice.

What it does

Everything you would keep in a spreadsheet, Vow keeps instead: the guest list with plus-ones and meals, the vendors and where each one is working, the budget by category, the seating chart, the day-of timeline, the checklist. It connects them, so your headcount is your actual list rather than a number you typed once, and changing it moves the catering estimate with it.

It reads your contracts. Upload one and Vow pulls out what you owe and when, builds a payment schedule from it, and flags the terms the contract does not mention: what happens if you cancel, what happens if they do, what happens if the day cannot go ahead. Those are the questions you want answered before you sign, not after.

And it watches. When your real guest list outgrows what you planned for, when a category drifts past its benchmark, when you are paying for a room and nothing is going into it, Vow says so while there is still time to do something about it.

Who it is for

Couples planning a wedding who want to know whether the plan actually works. It is useful whether you are planning on your own or working with a planner. If you have one, Vow is your independent record of what was decided, what it costs, what is due, and what has changed.

What it is not

Vow is not a wedding website. Your guests never see it, never log in, never RSVP through it. If you want a site guests visit, use one, and use Vow for the planning underneath.

Who built it

Vow is built by Emily Jung, a lifecycle and retention marketer in San Francisco with nine years in DTC.

I built it while planning my own wedding, which I am still doing. We paid for full-service planning and I was still the one going back through contracts to find a payment date, still the one noticing we had gone over on one category and under on another, still the one finding out too late that something had been decided without me. None of it was hard. All of it was mine to remember, and there was nowhere to put it.

Most of what Vow does is something I needed at the moment I needed it.
